Only a true pet lover understands the hurt of losing a pet. Once I called in sick to work the day after I lost my Kiki baby, my boss said my dog dying was the worst excuse he had heard. Sometimes I still expect them to be wagging their tails and letting out howls of happiness when we arrive home from work. I agree with Courtenay that dogs are family. I have always had a dog in the family and I miss Jenny and Baloo. Jenny was always happy just being near me - usually had to be in the same room - and it is so cool having such a faithful friend! We are dog sitting Brisco for Butcher's tonight and he must be the snuggliest dog ever! Your mom and I are getting our doggy snuggles in while we can! Maybe we will have to get another dog sometime!
